Refund & Returns

General Policies

Physical Products - Returns and Refunds. If you are unhappy with a purchase you make on the VeryTale Books website, you will have thirty (30) days from the date of your purchase to request a refund or exchange. If you would like a refund for a physical product, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and returned in the original packaging.

 

 Returns. To initiate a return and request a refund, you must send us an email at publisher@barbarytavern.com.  If you are eligible for a refund, you must ship your product to:  Barbary Tavern Publishing, 466 Foothill Blvd Ste A 110, La Canada Flintridge, CA 91011.  Please include your name, email, phone number, and original order number with your return. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item(s). We will not refund any outbound shipping prices. 

 

Refunds (if applicable). Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and whether your refund has been approved. 

 

Partial Refunds. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a partial refund of the purchase price. 

 

Exempt Items.  Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be returned or refunded.  Gift cards and downloadable digital products, including downloadable e-books, are not eligible for returns or refunds. 

 Exchanges (if applicable). We will only replace items if they were defective or damaged at the time they were sent to you. If you need to exchange a product for the same item, send an email to publisher@barbarytavern.com.  You will need to send your item to: Barbary Tavern Publishing, 466 Foothill Blvd Ste A 110, La Canada Flintridge, CA 91011. Please include your name, email, phone number, and original order number with your return. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

 

Gifts. If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, we email the gift credit to you. If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the purchaser shipped the product to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the original purchaser and any related information will be sent to them. 

 

Pre-orders. If you pre-order a product, we may collect partial payment at the time you checkout, store your payment method, then fulfill and charge the full or remaining payment at a future date. You can cancel a partially paid pre-order order that has not yet been fulfilled. If the order has been fulfilled, then you cannot cancel the order, but you can request a full or partial refund.
